"Anyone who has soaked in a Japanese sentō or onsen knows how therapeutic they are. Now, you can bring a piece of that age-old cleansing ritual home—in the form of cozy face, hand, and bath towels from Tombo. These high-quality cotton towels are woven manually on shuttle looms in the Senshu region of southern Osaka, where a post-weave refining method called atozarashi is king. The lightweight towels—available in white, gray, or midnight blue—have two gauzy outer layers and an ultra-absorbent pile inside, making them cushy, durable, and quick-drying." ~Condé Nast Traveler
Welcome to Tombo Towels!
Tombo Towels are made in Japan from the highest quality cotton blends and are expertly woven on manual vintage shuttle looms. Our factory in the Senshu area of Osaka, Japan takes so much pride and care in making these towels that they are only able to produce enough fabric to make 20 bath towels a day!
Our towels have two outer layers of eco-friendly baby-soft gauze with an inner layer of highly absorbent pile which make them feel very different from traditional terry cloth towels. We are confident that you will love these luxuriously soft towels for their superior absorbent, quick to dry, lightweight, and voluminous qualities.
